From NASP Delegate, Chris Willis…..

Here are some interesting numbers from the NASP Delegate Assembly held at the Convention in Anaheim California.

Convention attendance: 4320 attended the convention (approximately 10-12 from RI)

The NASP Publication Booth made approximately $51,000 at the Convention.

The NASP Children’s Fund Auction made approximately $16,000. RISPA donated a Lobster Dinner shipped anywhere in the US (approximate value $150). RISPA also donated $500 to the Children’s Fund in February.

Donations at the Convention for the NASP Minority Scholarship Fund amounted to $38,750. This will allow NASP to offer 5 scholarships next year instead of the usual three. RISPA donated $500 to the Minority Scholarship Fund in February, in addition to awarding a $1000 RISPA Minority Scholarship in March.

Only 8% of NASP Membership voted in the recent election for President-Elect. Rhonda Armistead was elected. Only 11 RI NASP members voted????

NASP Membership currently stands at 23,451. There are 156 NASP members in Rhode Island. Is your membership up-to-date?

The NASP Summer Conferences will be held in Atlantic City (July 18-19) and Chicago (July 28 –29).
